Women's Giving Circle of Frederick County

The circle of women helping women has never been stronger.
Inspired by the visionary leadership of Karlys Kline,
The Community Foundation of Frederick County
proudly announces the creation of
The Women’s Giving Circle of Frederick County.

The Circle’s Members give from their passions and purses
to enable and empower women in need.
These Members share a common philanthropic goal
of pooling their resources so as to provide grants
to women facing challenging situations
or to the organizations and programs aiding them.

How The Women’s Giving Circle of Frederick County works:

Women Helping  Women
1. The interested join the Circle by pledging a minimum of $1,000 a year for three years. Those under the age of 22 may join at $500 per year. Donors who achieve cumulative levels of giving will be recognized as follows:
Diamond: $5,000 or more
Emerald:  $3,001-$4,999
Sapphire: $1,000-$3,000
2. Membership contributions are placed into The Women’s Giving Circle of Frederick County Fund at the Community Foundation. One-half stays in the permanent fund to be invested for the long-term, with only the annual distribution used for making grants. The other half is placed in the fund to be used entirely for making grants in the next fiscal year.  3. The total grant amount available each year will be awarded to women in need and organizations aiding such women. Empowering women in need to become stronger and self-sufficient allows them to improve the quality of their lives and the lives of those for whom they are responsible.

Participate in the phenomenal transformation of changing the world, one woman at a time, by joining
The Women’s Giving Circle of Frederick County.
