Community Foundation
Announces New Fund
Supporting Frederick City
Job Creation and Revitalization
JUNE 16, 2010: The
Community Foundation of Frederick County, in partnership with the City
of Frederick’s Department of Economic Development, announces The City
of Frederick Economic Development Fund.
The Fund will support the City of Frederick’s Department of Economic
Development’s (DED) mission of job creation, revitalization, and
reinvestment in the City of Frederick. It is anticipated that this
fund will allow for private investment in economic development
marketing, events and programs in the Frederick community. The Fund
recently enabled DED and its partners to present “Frederick Key
Notes”, intended to elevate the professional capacity and acumen of
business and community leaders in the Frederick region through
exposure to internationally recognized talent on topics critical to
the success of managing and growing an organization or business.
“The City Department of Economic Development is very pleased to be in
partnership with the Community Foundation to further economic
development programs and opportunities in Frederick,” said Richard
Griffin, Director of Economic Development for the City of Frederick.
“This fund provides a unique vehicle for the City to engage private
sector participation in the form of sponsorships and donations for
event, programs, and marketing.”
