Young Philanthropists Donate to Community Foundation Fund

June 25, 2009: At the Eshman/Randall Memorial Golf Classic on June 12, young philanthropists Madison Spingola-6, Alex Spingola-4, and Ryan Orr-6 raised $205 at their lemonade stand, while Tyler Craney-14 raised $640 at the par 3 closest to the hole, Beat the Kid competition. Their donations benefit The Stephen J. Eshman and George E. Randall Memorial Fund held by The Community Foundation of Frederick County. The Fund honors the memories of Eshman and Randall, who both succumbed to brain tumors, by awarding grants for medical research and assistance for patients with brain tumors. Checks may be made payable to The Community Foundation of Frederick County and mailed to 312 East Church Street, Frederick, Maryland 21701. Simply insert the Fund’s name in the check’s memo line. All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
