Date Set for Grant Application Training for 
Frederick County Agricultural Viability Fund

February 25, 2009: In conjunction with the Office of Economic Development, The Community Foundation of Frederick County is offering a convenient one-hour training session for those interested in applying for grant funding from The Frederick County Agricultural Viability Fund.

This informative session will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2009, at 12 noon, at the Office of Economic Development, 5340 Spectrum Drive, Suite A, Frederick, and will offer tips on filling out the grant application as well as a question and answer session. Seating is limited for the grant training and advanced registration is suggested by calling 301.695.7660, or by e-mailing ds.assistant@cffredco.org.

Farmers and those who run farmers’ markets within Frederick County are encouraged to apply for grant funding from The Frederick County Agricultural Viability Fund, founded by the Board of County Commissioners of Frederick County on behalf of the Agricultural Business Council of the Office of Economic Development to provide additional support to the agricultural community.

Grant applications for the Fund are being accepted through 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2009, at the Community Foundation office, 312 East Church Street, Frederick, Maryland, 21701. Applications with guidelines can be downloaded from the Community Foundation’s web site by clicking here or obtained at the Community Foundation office.
