Community Foundation Presents Harold and Elizabeth Kehne Scholarship

The fund is one of more than 679 component funds of The Community Foundation of Frederick County. The fund was founded by son David Kehne and his husband Robert Funk, to provide scholarships to graduates of Frederick High School or Governor Thomas Johnson High School pursuing careers in education. Ms. Konte is a graduate of Frederick High School and is attending University of Maryland. Pictured, from left: Mr. Funk, Mr. Kehne, Ms. Konte, and Colleen Chidester, Scholarship Committee Chairman and Community Foundation trustee. For the 2017-18 academic year, the Community Foundation has provided more than $1 million for post-secondary and vocational training.
