Catoctin Watershed Fund Created for Land Preservation

FREDERICK, MD – May 25, 2017: Driven by their love of the environment, agriculture, and history and a strong desire to support land preservation in Frederick County, two Frederick County residents have created The Catoctin Watershed Preservation Fund. The fund becomes one of more than 679 funds managed by The Community Foundation of Frederick County.

The fund will be used to help preserve the Middletown Valley area of the Catoctin Watershed so future generations can experience and be inspired by the beauty of this area that is rich in history. “We can’t preserve every valley, but we can help preserve the Middletown Valley,” said the donors, who wish to remain unnamed.

Those wishing to support the fund can make secure, online contributions at Checks may be mailed to The Community Foundation, 312 East Church Street, Frederick, Maryland, 21701. Contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
