John "Jack" Griffin Scholarship Fund Created at Community Foundation

FREDERICK, MD – April 12, 2017: In honor of a great coach, mentor, and friend, Earl L. Main has established The John “Jack” Griffin John Jack Griffin cropScholarship Fund. The fund becomes one of more than 679 component funds of The Community Foundation of Frederick County.

The fund will provide post-secondary scholarships to graduates of Frederick High School studying physical education or a related area. A close friend of Mr. Griffin, Mr. Main is helping him carry out a lifelong dream of providing scholarships that will assist students pursuing careers in athletics. Mr. Griffin not only taught at Frederick High School, but is an alumnus. He is known for his successful international coaching and as founder of the Frederick Track Club.
