Grants Launch Archery Program at Windsor Knolls Middle School

FREDERICK, MD – February 7, 2017: Windsor Knolls Middle School will soon have a National Archery in the Schools (NASP) program, thanks to a Long.Compton Grant for Archery Program smallgrant from The Davey Long and Mike Compton Memorial Fund, one of more than 679 component funds of The Community Foundation of Frederick County.

The grant was matched by the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF), Monocacy Valley Chapter. NASP was developed to help improve student motivation, attention, and focus, and also to teach outdoor skills, resulting in character and self-reliance development.
