The Community Foundation Accepting Music, Dance Instruction Scholarship Applications through May 31

FREDERICK, MD – May 5, 2015: Through May 31, 2016, The Community Foundation of Frederick County is accepting online applications for music instruction and dance instruction scholarships at www.ScholarshipsFrederickCounty.com. All application requirements and details can be found at this address. No paper applications are accepted.

Students ages 5 through 18 and are Frederick County, Maryland residents, who are currently pursuing instrumental or vocal music instruction may apply for a music scholarship supporting private or group instruction. Students must be enrolled in music instruction at the time of application.

Students ages 12 through 17 and are Frederick County, Maryland residents, who are currently pursuing dance instruction with a dance school or company located in Frederick County may apply for a dance scholarship. Students must be enrolled in dance instruction at the time of application.

The scholarships are being provided through funds created by generous donors who support the study of music and dance. Music scholarships will be provided from The Guss Family Scholarship for the Arts, The Dustin and Courtney Music Memorial Fund, and The Sperry L. Storm Memorial Scholarship Fund. Dance scholarships will be provided from The Thomas F. Waters Memorial Fund.
