Remsberg Family Fund Established at Community Foundation
FREDERICK, MD – March 3, 2016: In an effort to improve the accessibility of mental health services for adolescents and young adults and to give back to the Frederick County community, Adrian McCardell Remsberg, Jr. and Lisa Nelson Remsberg have established The Remsberg Family Fund. The fund becomes one of more than 675 component funds managed by The Community Foundation of Frederick County.
The fund will support grants to nonprofits providing health care in Frederick County, with preference given to organizations providing mental health and behavioral health services, including substance abuse programs. “We believe that wellbeing includes both physical and mental health,” said Mr. and Mrs. Remsberg. “We want our fund to assist those unable to afford mental health services and also support further training for existing mental health professionals in Frederick County.”
Since 1986, generous citizens have turned to the credibility and expertise of the Community Foundation to establish funds that provide scholarships to deserving students and grants to worthy nonprofit organizations, contributing more than $42 million throughout Frederick County.
