Community Foundation Presents Love Family Scholarship
FREDERICK, MD – July 9, 2015: The first scholarship from The Ann Burnside Love and Thomas A. Love, MD Family Scholarship Fund has been presented to Kaitlyn Culpepper. The fund is one of more than 660 component funds of The Community Foundation of Frederick County.
The fund was founded by Ann Burnside Love to honor her late husband and the family they created. The fund provides scholarships for post-secondary education to students pursuing a career in journalism, creative writing, communications, marketing, or business writing degrees from a two-year or four-year college or university. In addition, the fund offers scholarships to students accepted or enrolled at University of Maryland's medical or dental schools. Ms. Culpepper, a graduate of Walkersville High School, will be attending Seton Hill University, majoring in English.
Since 1986, The Community Foundation of Frederick County has provided more than $38 million in scholarships to area students who might otherwise not be able to attend college or trade school and grants to area nonprofits serving the community. This tremendous accomplishment is a direct result of generous donors who touch the future with each donation, leaving a positive impact of lasting change for the Frederick County community.
