Welcome to The Community Foundation of Frederick County, an organization that speaks to those of us who live in Frederick County, who love our community and want it to be the best it can be and who strive to leave a lasting legacy for its continued prosperity.

Every day, we work with donors who want to establish new funds with us or contribute to funds we already hold—funds aimed at promoting a range of worthy causes. We manage these funds and invest them for long-term growth, holding most in perpetuity. With portions of the funds or their investment return, we distribute grants and scholarships that touch and transform the lives of so many Frederick County residents.

Our impact is for good, forever, for Frederick County. Explore this web site to learn more and join us in creating a better Frederick County through acts of philanthropy and charitable giving.

  Our Mission

                                  General Brochure

The Community Foundation serves as a catalyst to create positive and lasting impact by building and fostering relationships -- for good, forever, for Frederick County.
Thank you to our Public Awareness Campaign Sponsors

The companies listed below supported the Community Foundation in a six-month public awareness campaign that ran from October 1, 2009 through March 31, 2010. The campaign included print ads, radio and tv spots, and bus posters. The total amount of these in-kind donations exceeded $59,000.00.

This is tremendous support of our efforts to let the Frederick County community know about our work. The Community Foundation Board of Trustees and the staff is very grateful.
